Our comical weekend.

Saturday morning we headed out to the pumpkin patch. I knew it was going to be an interesting trip without Jon there, but I had no idea! I loaded the kids up then we went and picked up Mindy and her kiddos. Her hubby is at NTC as well so it was the two of us and the 4 kiddos. It was sprinkling on Schofield when we left, but when we got the the pumpkin patch it wasn't, it was just a bit overcast. We got some pics with the pumpkins that were already picked and out of the field, then headed into the field to see what we could find. After just a few minutes the sky opened up and it started dumping buckets on us. We were all soaked really quickly. Mindy threw a blanket over Kaitlyn so she wouldn't get too wet and we all started to head back to the car. The dirt here in hawaii doesn't just turn to mud...it's like red clay. It was caked all over our slippers, the wheels on the stoller got so much stuck to them they would hardly turn. We ended up not even getting any pumpkins because there were so many people standing around the tent to pay and we didn't want to keep the little ones out in the rain any longer than we had to. Cody cried all the way to the car because he was sticky. Needless to say...it was a comical day. I knew it would be interesting, but it was way more interesting than I could have anticipated. All Mindy and I could do was laugh at how messy everything was. She actually just left her slippers in the middle of the field by the car :) Well...here are the few pics we got.

It had cooled off a bit this weekend...and by cooled off I mean it was in the high 70's :)...so I dug out Kaitlyns leggings. I LOVE THEM!!! The lighting on these sucks...shaddows, blown out, but I still love them because she is to stinkin' cute!

Spotty bananas....what should we do?

Bake...

(I love having a metal backsplash behind the range)

OK...so it's not really Cody's recipe. It's actually Paula Dean's recipe, but when he was little my aunt would make it for him and he loved it so she started calling it Cody's Banana Bread and it stuck. Cody and were having lots of fun making it and I was a goof and didn't take any process pics, but here is the finished product. My house smelled so good!

On a totally different note, Kaitlyn has been loving her Jumeroo....yesterday she even took a nap in it :)

Welcome to the world Nicole Isabella!

Early yesterday morning my sister gave birth to a beautiful 7 lb 5 oz 19 in little girl. I am already in love. I'm so excited to have a little niece. I'm also very proud of my sister as she did this all with no drugs...way to go! Congtrats to Brooke and Dan. She is perfect...even if she does have Brooke's nose...It's way cuter on her :D hahaha...I say that with love.
Now on to more pics...

I wish I was back in WA so I could snuggle with her...

Playing catch up!

I've slacked off for the past week. I'm good at doing that :) It seems like things have been so busy since Jon left, but I really don't have too much to show for it. Here are some from the last week or so.
I forgot to post these with the pics from the day Jon left. These are a couple from the night before Jon left. He was loving the piggyback ride from dad...once he stopped freaking out.
He loves trying on daddy's gear.
Just being silly...she had big smiles before this one, but the P&S was too slow.
Frowns :(
Look at that lip...

She was done taking pictures...it was time for boob and a nap.
Finally, after a full tummy and nice long rest...a big smile :)
I didn't have any problems getting this little camera ham to smile...

Call me nasty, but I couldn't help it. This poor little guy didn't know what was coming to him. I changed the sheets on our bed a couple days ago and found this little one squashed between the sheets and the matress. It's kinda crazy the places you find geckos here. I found one dead in my freezer once too.
Wednesday we went to the FRG playdate. It was Halloween themed. Cody liked his cat tatoo...
but only for about a minute. Then he started saying that it was an "owie" and wouldn't stop picking at it.
This morning was coffee at Sara's house. I made scones! Mmmm...they turned out pretty good. I did find out a couple things thouhg...I can't use my thin cookie sheets. They burn on those, the thick air ones work great though. The other thing...I need to invest in a sifter. I thing they would have been a little more crumbly if I had sifted the flour. I was so proud of myself...they were completely homemade, I used the blackberry jam that I made during our trip back to WA. Up next...Pumpkin Scones!
Last but definitely not least...I finally got pics of my sis with her big preggo belly. She's due anytime now. I'm gonna have a niece! You look beautiful sis!

Bye Daddy...

Yesterday we said goodbye to Jon. Don't worry...he's not deploying or anything. He went to NTC in California for the month. Cody had a pretty rough morning but is doing great now. Kaitlyn of course is fine. I'm so happy I have such wonderful children. We snapped these with the P&S before we dropped him off.

They love their daddy!

WE LOVE YOU JON!!!
